Fondant Christmas cake

This cake is a Devils foods home made cake, then covered with homemade fondant ( the store bought stuff is NASTY and I would never but it on a cake that someone ordered so I have been trying different homemade fondant recipes) This fondant is a marshmallow fondant, it works great for rolling out and laying flat but I had a rough time making roses out of it, just a bit to dry , so I must try some more recipes to get the right ones for the job :) Hope you all like it !!! I didn't spend as much time on this one as I would of liked but with Jacob just having his Clavical broken I didn't want to take anymore time away .

Brendon and his " BIRD "

Brendon had a real life mission today and so he and 16 other helicopters headed out for the mission when 17 min. into the flight he and his I.P ( instructor pilot ) had to call in an emergency landing . Some thing was wrong with the aircraft and then had to set it down quick fast and in a hurry. They saw two fields right below them and went for the bigger of the two. They had a perfect landing and then while they waited for there flight home they enjoyed the pizza that they were suppose to give to the rangers that they were going to pick up !! Poor rangers got no pizza. Brendon is in the middle with his " stick buddy" to his right and his I.P. to his left !!! Hope you like the pictures

So Brendon took Kaylie to a gun safety course in Oct. and here is one of her targets she was shooting 17 hmr rifle she was shooting 100 yards :) !!!! Look how good she did, and she is really wanting to go hunting to. Next fall she will be ready to go.

LOOK AT THIS. Our friend was over for dinner and we went outside to do some target practice Brendon got a shot that was unbelievable and that is why we took pictures of it. Amazing huh. Only for the slightly twisted minded ( oh and their kids )

So you will have to tilt your head to one side or the other because the Husband that I have ( you know he is a Helicopter pilot of a 8 MILLION dollar aircraft , and yet can't take a video.... YIKES that's not comforting now is it hehehehe ) didn't know that you can't turn the camera with the video on like you could when taking a picture. The video explains this who scene.

**** THERE WE NO ANIMALS HURT IN THE SHOOTING OF THIS FILM !!!!

And still more from Cheaha

This picture is my favorite , Jacob saw this hook and said " hey Daddy , could you please hang me up on that hook ? , it looks really fun !" Thats our boy , thinking of the most dangerest things to do. It was really funny until he started to slip out of his pants , Brendon caught him just as his little bottom was starting to show.

So our dog doesn't really have eyes that look this scary , yeah not really sure what is going on here, but here are some of the most important people in my life !!

Just look at her !!! She is growing up so fast, I am just so proud of who she is and who she is working to become. I just wonder what she will do after she is out of school and on her own. I am sure she will be exceptional at what ever she decides to do. Kaylie you are and will always be our baby girl and we love you so very deeply. :)

Speaking of growing up , can you beleive that he is alreay five and in Kindergarden !!! Jacob brings so much laughter to our family, there are many times he has us rolling . We went on this SIX mile hike, I would say it was a moderate hike, lots of steep hills , climbing over trees, rocks and creeks and he was so awesome. He and Kaylie took turns being the " line leader " this job required many tasks. You would have to make sure that your group was with you at all times, warn them of dangerous things such as , roots, sharp rocks, pokie things that might stick you through your pants , you know those type of things. Jacob did a very good job as the line leader.

Camping trip !!!!

Here is our AWESOME camp spot!! We arrived in the dark ( but it did not rain and in the Horsman family that is unheard of :) ) We set up the tent , then started the fire and eat up some very yummy brawts . and then of course we had to make S'mores . And if any of you are wondering why in the heck I have the wood all stacked around the fire it is because the wood that we brought was a little bit wet when I split it so I need to dry it out and this was the only way. We camped at the Cheaha State Park .. elevation 2407 ft. Yeah not very high I know but the people of Alabama are very proud of their highest point in the state !!!!
